Most of the time you would like to ensure that you can charge the booking from the customer's credit card and all information they provided are valid. Now on YCS, when you go to the booking page and expand the booking details. You can see the 'Verify Credit Card' feature.
This feature allows you to check that the credit card supplied by guest is valid or not. After you click on 'Verify Credit Card', it will returns an instant response (successful or unsuccessful).
This function is available any time from booking date until check-in date.
Why should I check if guest credit card valid?
Customers whose credit cards passes this check are less likely to cancel. If they do cancel and there is a cancellation fee due, charges can usually, but not always, be successfully made to the credit card. This feature is a customer-friendly way of checking a booking is secure, prior to check-in.
When is the ‘Check if guest credit card is valid’ feature available to use?
If the feature is enabled for your property, it is available to use from the time of booking until check-in day.
What if the guest credit card is invalid?
If guest credit card is invalid, you can ‘Request new guest credit card’ or you can contact the guest via our messaging service in YCS.
Why can I not see 'Check if guest credit card is valid' feature in YCS?
It may be because this feature is not enabled for your property. Please contact your market manager if you would like to request this feature.
Why is the 'Check if guest credit card is valid feature' not clickable?
This feature is available for use until guest check-in day and can only be used once. It will not be clickable after it has been clicked once or after guest check-in day.
